Rural Resources Community Action is undergoing a feasibility study to explore implementing large-scale solar energy at our Colville office, located at 956 S. Main Street. This feasibility study is being funded through a grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce.

We’re looking for feedback on this project and invite community members to join us for an open house on Wednesday, May 28 to learn about the project and possible benefits to the community. The open house will take place at the Stevens County Sheriff’s Ambulance Training Room, located at 425 N Hwy in Colville, from 3:30-5:30 PM.

Join us to learn about solar, ask questions, and leave us feedback. Some topics we’ll cover include:

  • Site & structure assessment
  • Environmental assessment
  • Electrical design
  • Financial impacts & funding plans
  • Battery & energy storage systems
  • Emergency shelter options for community in prolonged & extreme power outage events

We look forward to seeing you there!

For questions or more information, please email Colton Thompson, Facilities Director: cothompson@ruralresources.org.
