Summary
Rural Resources Community Action needs Food Systems Program Assistant (Arden, WA) full-time with benefits. As a Food Systems ProgramAssitant, you will serve as support staff for the Food Systems Program, including pick-ups and deliveries for the program. This individual will also be responsible for keeping pick-up and delivery records, maintaining inventory control, writing and filing reports, developing and maintaining working relationships with farmers and delivery clients, and other duties as assigned helping to develop a regional food system.
Salary & Benefit information
The full salary range of $16.72-$27.84 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $16.72-$19.56 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase. As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA. Duties & Responsibilities
A Food Systems Program Assistant will need knowledge of fresh produce pickup and delivery principles and practices, sanitary and custodial practices, and developing/working with spreadsheets. For this position, we are looking for an individual with experience in a food service setting, working with farmers who produce food for human consumption, and working with food pantries/food pantry clients.
Education, Skills, and Abilities
To apply for this position, you would need a High School Diploma or GED; and two years of experience distributing perishable food in a rural setting or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
