SALARY RANGE: Hiring Range $18.06-$19.53

Summary

Rural Resources Community Action is looking for a Cook for our Head Start program, this position is full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits and located in Newport, WA. A Cook will purchase and prepare snacks, breakfast, and lunch food for preschoolers from menus that meet Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements.

Salary & Benefit information

The hiring range for this role is $18.06-19.53 per hour. The full salary range of $18.06-$30.07 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase.  As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA. Duties & Responsibilities

A Cook will need knowledge of basic nutrition, proper food storage and food safety practices, and CACFP Requirements. The qualities we are looking for include the ability to provide meals for a large group including substitute items for special needs, complete and monitor paperwork and reports with emphasis on detail, and work with a limited amount of supervision.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

To apply for this position, you would need High School Diploma or GED and one year experience cooking for groups or any combination of education and experience, which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability, required to perform the job.
