SALARY RANGE: Hiring Range-$19.87-$21.49

Summary

Rural Resources Community is seeking a Housing Inspector.  This is a Part-time (24-29 hours per week), non-exempt position based in our Colville office.

Salary Information

Our Housing Inspector position is offered at $19.87 to $21.49 per hour.  Actual wage will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, experience and qualifications.  Employees who successfully meet or exceed performance expectations during their annual performance evaluation will be eligible for a 4% wage increase.

The full salary range for this position is $19.87 to $52.96 per hour and represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

At RRCA, we are dedicated to assisting people and communities in assuring that all HCV/TBRA-assisted housing units comply with HUD guidelines to improve the safety and quality of life for residents.

In this key role, you would be responsible for:

  • Conduct Housing inspections and determine compliance of rental assistance units with HUD minimum property standards for program participants and per contract provisions as scheduled.
  • Evaluate corrections of any NSPRIRE deficiencies, certify units and confirm lease effective dates.
  • Guide owners/managers and tenants/program participants on ways to correct deficiencies in meeting NSPRIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate) inspection standards and confirm compliance dates.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; with at least two years of experience and/or education in the construction trades, industrial arts, housing inspection, or other housing-related activities.

Any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.
