SALARY RANGE: Hiring Range-$19.87-$21.49

Summary

Rural Resources Community Action needs a Prevention & Education Specialist. This is a full-time hybrid position which will require travel to Rearden and Colville, WA. As a Prevention & Education Specialist, you will assist the Program Manager in developing and implementing primary prevention programs to a wide variety of audiences, including children, youth, and families, to promote social change. This position will also plan, coordinate, and implement community-based education campaigns and skill-building training to increase community capacity to respond to violence and support survivors.

Salary & Benefit information

The hiring range for this role is $19.87-21.49 per hour. The full salary range of $19.87-33.08 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase.  As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA. Duties & Responsibilities

A Prevention & Education will need poses the ability to set limits and maintain healthy boundaries, conduct themselves in a professional demeanor, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. This individual will also need knowledge of best-practice education and teaching concepts, including ability to provide education to a variety of audiences and ages, the impact of crimes and trauma on victims, and crisis intervention and counseling principles and practices.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

To apply for this position, you would need Bachelor’s degree in social work, education or related field; acceptable completion of 40 hour pre-service victim services training; demonstrated experience working in a social services field; demonstrated experience teaching or training or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.
