SALARY RANGE: Hiring Range- $21.65-$23.42 Per Hour

Summary

Rural Resources Community Action is looking for a Victim Advocate-CAC Specialist, this position is part-time (23-40 hours per week) with benefits and located at our Colville, WA office. As a Victim Advocate-CAC Specialist, you will provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and case management services for general crime victims and/or victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or child abuse and neglect. This position serves as the primary advocacy support for victims of child abuse and neglect.

Salary & Benefit information

The hiring range for this role is $21.65-$23.42 per hour. The full salary range of $21.65-$36.06 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase.  As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA. Duties & Responsibilities

A Victim Advocate-CAC Specialist will need knowledge of the impact of crimes on victims, including but not limited to dynamics of domestic violence, sexual abuse/assault, and/or child abuse, crisis intervention and advocacy principles and practices, criminal and civil judicial procedures in both Superior and District Courts, and Knowledge of federal, state and local policies, procedures and regulations applicable to the area of assignment. The qualities we are looking for include the ability to analyze and evaluate client needs, provide a robust, compassionate, flexible response to changing situations and barriers, willingness to maintain client confidentiality, provide training and technical assistance to staff, volunteers, and community members as needed and establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, agency staff, community officials and the general public.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

To apply for this position, you would need a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study; two years of experience working in a social service agency, one of which must be in crisis intervention and advocacy counseling of victims; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
