Robert’s Success Story
Robert’s Success Story
Robert Stafford had been homeless for many years before seeking help with Rural Resources Community Action. In January 2021 Robert signed up for the Foundational Community Support Program (FCS). The FCS program provides case management for clients experiencing issues obtaining or maintaining housing. Our case management program helps by address both housing and social supports to help assist in long-term housing stability. Robert’s goal was to find housing in Stevens County where he could have a dog and focus on his passion for working on bikes. In order to achieve this goal Robert worked hard, showed up to meetings, took it upon himself to find a job, and signed up for services to improve himself. Robert was able to find a house on his own and using the assistance provided through the FCS program was able to get help paying rent and signing a lease. He has met his goal and now lives in his own home with his dog! Every now and then you need a helping hand to get back on your feet. Robert’s story is truly inspiring and shows that hard work and community action make a lasting impact!
